Overview
What You Will Do
GeoDecisions is currently seeking applicants interested in joining the team as a Mid- to Senior Developer to work in Tallahassee, FL. This position will serve as a key member of a team that we are establishing to service our clients within the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), with possible expansion into Florida’s commercial marketplace.

Responsibilities:
Work as part of a software development team to develop solutions based on client requirements
Participate and/or lead in application requirements gathering and design meetings
Support the creation of solution designs and testing scripts
Support, under the direction of a technical architect, the development of solution modules
Oversee testing workflows on code and review recorded findings, working with the team to resolve defects
Be able to support rapid application development with prototypes, wireframes, proof of concepts
Ability to design and write database queries and procedures to support front end applications and processes
Attend project status meetings as required
Responsabilities
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, GIS, or related field required.
5+ years’ experience designing, developing and maintaining GIS and IT web applications.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Ability to manage tasks and timelines effectively
Demonstrable ability to work as part of an integrated solution development team
Technical Skills
Required experience includes:
Experience with modern web technologies -- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
Experience with JavaScript Frameworks/Libraries: Angular.js, Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery
Experience build RESTful web services with Node.js, C#/ASP.NET MVC
Experience using a RDBMS or NoSQL databases is required
Experience using bug/issue tracking software such as Jira, DevOps, TFS, etc.
Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, TFS, DevOps, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Preferred experience includes:
Experience with unit testing frameworks: Mocha, XUnit, JUnit
Experience with JSON and GeoJSON structures/models.
Experience with automation tools like Grunt.
Understanding of pub/sub techniques.
Experience building SaaS or PaaS solutions.
Industry experience: GIS, State Transportation
